HTC 7 Pro will be arriving at the German carrier O2 next week. The phone was last spotted on O2's website claiming that it would be available in January, now confirmed by the carrier's German Twitter feed. Of course the release in one territory means that it's likely more will soon follow, though there is no indication of when it will be available in other parts of Europe.
Like many other smartphones with the 'Pro' tag the emphasis here is on productivity and the device will feature a slideout keyboard, the ability to open and edit office docs and a preloaded stock checking app among others.
Inside there's a 1GHz processor, 576MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There's also a 5mp camera capable of recording HD video and a G-sensor, digital compass, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. The display is a 3.6" WVGA touchscreen with pinch-to-zoom beneath which is the full QWERTY which slides out placing the screen at a comfortable angle.
While a US release with Sprint is also anticipated there is no sign of when that will be though it is expected to arrive at the carrier in the first half of 2011. It was announced in November that the device would be made available for pre-order to Microsoft employees but there was no indication when the general public would see it.
